Still, I was able to take away some silver lining: Nine million fewer Americans voted in 2008 than 2012, and the Democrats were only barely able to beat what the World Socialist Web Site has called “a Republican nominee who represents in the most crass and naked form the greed of the financial aristocracy.”

American Liberals: What Is Your Deal Breaker?

If the discussion on my wall is any indication, the author is right. American liberals have no deal breaker. They will vote for the Democratic Party, acting as active accomplices in the nation’s rightward drift and willing apologists for the worst excesses of the American state, provided that the Republicans are able to find someone subjectively “worse.” Considering the mountains of evidence that Obama is worse than Bush using quantifiable, objective metrics, I’m still confused as to what arguments are being made that Republicans are “worse” other than a liberal distaste for the cultural signals sent.

TL;DR: American liberals have no political principles whatsoever. Gross.
